KAYRA IMPERIAL 2006 OKUZGOZU BLEND

11 barrels of Okuzgozu were selected this year for the blend

2006 was a warmer than normal growing season in the eastern vineyards of Turkey, at the end of the season we saw a significant cooling down and a delay in harvest. What really struck us in this vintage is how complex and interesting the wines became with the delayed harvest.

Fruit just came out of the barrels and the integration of tannin and acid left the team speechless, for the first time we have a spectacular bottling of Öküzgözü, one we hope will be repeated in the years to come.

Due to limited filtration, residues may form in the bottle. Before enjoying, we advise to have your wine decanted for some time as per your wish.

NOSE

Smoked, licorice, vanilla, walnuts, mint

PALATE

Cassis, sandalwood, menthol, black liquorice, vanilla leather, tar, blackberry, juniper, green peppercorn and beef extract wita touch of toasted walnut and dark chocolate

APPEARANCE

Dark ruby- tile red.
